The Longannet FGD Category 1 Project receives the NJC Award for Safety

Attendees including the Client, Employer and Trade Union representatives from the PJC and Project saw the presentation of the NJC Award for Safety in Engineering Construction following a successful submission by the Project. The Award was presented in Dumfermline on 18th February 2009 by the NJC Executive Director, Jock Simpson, and Richard Ash, Chairman of the NJC’s Safety Health & Environment Committee.

The NJC Award for Safety In Engineering Construction recognises outstanding safety management and performance on in-scope NAECI Category 1 Projects and Category 2 Sites. When merited the Award is issued to reflect the combined efforts of the workforce, the contractors and client.
