A number of successful One Day NAECI Awareness Courses have been run in recent years and a further one has now been scheduled for Spring 2017 following a number of recent requests. The course is specifically aimed at managers or company procurement staff new to the industry and/or the NAECI.

Subject to suitable numbers registering, the free of charge NAECI Awareness Course will be held on Wednesday, 5th April 2017 at the NJC Office in London. Please note that this course is open to Signatory Employers’ Association (ECIA, SELECT & TICA) member companies only.

The course will be presented in 2 parts. The morning session will start at 11.00am and conclude with a buffet lunch. The afternoon session will finish at around 2.30pm.

Jock Simpson will conduct the morning session which will cover aspects of the EC Industry including the role of the Clients and contractors and the various industry/contracts practices. He will then discuss the NJC, its organisation and objectives and its national level Adjudication and Arbitration Panels.

Mark Watt will conduct the afternoon session covering an overview of the NAECI, Registration, key terms and conditions, the setting up of new projects and current/future workloads. A course review will close the proceedings.

This industry/NAECI overview course will be beneficial to those new to the industry and the National Agreement or whose knowledge needs updating. Places may be limited.
