Data for January to March 2012 has been collected and analysed.  2.3 million man hours were worked but only one reportable accident was recorded.  That works out at 83 reportable injuries per 100,000 employed, which compares with 530/100,000 for construction as a whole.  NJC’s SHE Committee members are certain that this performance reflects a real spirit of positive engagement in action between employers and employees, with respect to health and safety standards in our industry.
