One Day NAECI Awareness Workshops for Employers & Union FTOs

Due to popular demand, further free of charge NJC Industry Awareness One Day Workshops are planned to take place in June 2011.  There will be separate workshops held for Employers and Trades Union Full Time Officials.

Subject to suitable numbers registering, the Employers One Day Awareness Workshop will be held on 7th June 2011 and the Full Time Officials One Day Course will be held on 14th June 2011 at the NJC Office in London.

The workshops will be presented in 2 parts. The morning session will start at 10.45am and conclude with a buffet lunch.  The afternoon session will finish at around 3.00pm.

Jock Simpson will conduct the morning session which will cover aspects of the EC Industry including for example the role of the Clients and contractors, and the various kinds of contracts/industry practices.  He will then discuss the NJC, its organisation and objectives and its adjudication and arbitration panels.

Mark Watt will conduct the afternoon session covering an overview of the NAECI, key terms and conditions, the setting up of new projects and the current and future workloads.

A workshop review will close the proceedings.

The workshop will be highly informative and beneficial to all Employers and FTOs new to the Industry and those whose knowledge needs updating.
