A number of successful One Day NJC NAECI Awareness Courses have been run in recent years and a further one has now been scheduled for Autumn 2015 following a number of recent requests. The course is specifically aimed at managers or union full time officials new to the industry and/or the NAECI.

Subject to suitable numbers registering, the free of charge NAECI Awareness Course will be held on Tuesday 22nd September 2015 at the NJC Office in London. Please note that this course is open to Signatory Employers’ Association (ECIA, SELECT & TICA) member companies and Signatory Trade Union (GMB & Unite the Union) full time officials only.

The course will be presented in 2 parts. The morning session will start at 11.00am and conclude with a buffet lunch. The afternoon session will finish at around 2.30pm.

Jock Simpson will conduct the morning session which will cover aspects of the EC Industry including the role of the Clients and contractors and the various industry/contracts practices. He will then discuss the the NJC, its organisation and objectives and its national level Adjudication and Arbitration Panels.

Mark Watt will conduct the afternoon session covering an overview of the NAECI, key terms and conditions, the setting up of new projects and current and future workloads. A course review will close the proceedings.

The course will be highly informative and beneficial to those new to the Industry or whose knowledge needs updating. Places may be limited.
