A number of successful One Day NJC NAECI Awareness Workshops have been run in recent years and a further one has now been scheduled for autumn 2013 following recent requests from employers.  In addition to the usual Workshop coverage, key elements of the NAECI 2013 will be highlighted.

Subject to suitable numbers registering, the free of charge NAECI Awareness Workshop will be held on Tuesday, 1st October 2013 at the NJC Office in London.  Please note that this course is open to Signatory Employers’ Association member companies only (ECIA, SELECT & TICA).

The workshop will be presented in 2 parts. The morning session will start at 11.00am and conclude with a buffet lunch. The afternoon session will finish at around 2.30pm.

Jock Simpson will conduct the morning session which will cover aspects of the EC Industry including the role of the Clients and contractors and the various contracts/industry practices. He will then discuss the NJC, its organisation, objectives and its national level Adjudication and Arbitration Panels.

Mark Watt will conduct the afternoon session covering an overview of the NAECI, key terms and conditions, the setting up of new projects and current and future workloads.  A workshop review will close the proceedings.

The workshop will be highly informative and beneficial to all employers’ management new to the Industry or those whose knowledge needs updating.  Places may be limited.
